About Ketazari
A more intentional way forward
01
Ketazari is for people who are still curious about what is out there, and what might be possible in the next part of life.
Maybe you are planning a trip you have put off for years. Maybe you want to pick up a camera again, learn something new, rethink work, or make more room for the things you enjoy. That is where Ketazari begins.
We write about travel, creativity, healthy aging, and the practical choices that help life feel more like your own. Not a perfect life. A life with more room to notice what you are doing and why it matters to you.

The story behind Ketazari
We are Kathy and John, husband-and-wife partners in life, business, and adventure. Our first business together, Metro Graphics, taught us a lot about independence, practical problem-solving, good design, and the satisfaction of taking an idea through to something real.
Our work has changed over the years, and so have our lives. The interests have not changed much: places that are so beautiful they make you stop and look around, interesting people and stories, photography, music, design, technology, and the small choices that make a day or a trip go better.
Ketazari is where those interests meet. It is not a lifestyle formula. It is a place to share what we are learning as we travel, create, care for people we love, adapt to change, and make more space for what is worth doing.

Kathy’s next chapter
For much of my career, I worked in federal digital communications and web management, leading and improving the systems people rely on to find information, complete tasks, and feel confident in what they are doing. I loved the work: the mix of strategy, user experience, accessibility, content, technology, problem-solving, and public service.
My background spans website and content strategy, web hosting and domain management, digital communications, user experience leadership, accessibility, analytics, content systems, WordPress and other web platforms, and the practical work of making complex information clearer and more useful. I have always cared about the details that shape whether a digital experience feels frustrating or welcoming, confusing or trustworthy.
Leaving federal service was not a simple decision. Family health-care needs required more of our attention, and workplace changes gradually made a job I loved feel unsustainable. I chose to step away with gratitude for the work that mattered and with a clearer understanding that time, health, family, and personal agency are not things to postpone indefinitely.
Ketazari is part of what came next. It is a creative and practical space built from that transition: a way to share what I have learned about reinvention, travel, photography, digital creativity, healthy aging, and designing a life with greater freedom and intention.

Come along with us
Ketazari is for people who are not finished being interested in the world. You may be coming out of a long career, caring for family, thinking more seriously about your health, looking for a reason to travel, or trying to reconnect with the creative part of yourself. You do not need a five-year plan or a new identity. Stay curious. Pay attention to what keeps returning to you.
We are glad you found us. Start with a story, follow the topic that interests you, or simply look around for a while.

Healthy Aging & reinvention
We want to keep traveling, walking, learning, creating, spending time with family, and feeling capable in our own lives. Healthy aging is not about perfection, and reinvention does not need a dramatic makeover. Sometimes it begins with smaller questions: What do I miss? What do I want more of? What am I tired of putting off?
Ketazari is not medical advice or a prescription for anybody else’s life. It is an honest conversation about taking care of yourself, staying curious, and making decisions that fit your real circumstances.
